rtmpdump software package provides small dumper for media content streamed over the RTMP protocol, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install rtmpdump
rtmpdump is installed in your system.
Make ensure the rtmpdump package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep rtmpdump *
You will get with rtmpdump package name, version, architecture and description in a table
